Terms of Service

By using WOT Offshore ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Service Description

WOT Offshore is a decision-support tool that provides offshore fishing trip verdicts based on weather, marine, and solunar data. The App scores ride comfort, fishability, and safety conditions for user-specified routes.

2. Not a Safety Guarantee

WOT Offshore is an informational tool, not a substitute for seamanship, judgment, or official marine forecasts. Conditions can change rapidly offshore. Always:

• Check official NOAA/NWS marine forecasts before departing
• Carry appropriate safety equipment
• File a float plan with someone on shore
• Use your own judgment — if conditions feel wrong, turn back

We are not liable for any decisions made based on the App's verdicts, scores, or recommendations. You assume all risk associated with offshore boating and fishing activities.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Free Tier: 3 trip calculations per month with limited features.

Pro Subscription: $199/month, billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from the App's Settings screen or through Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring algorithms
• Scrape, automate, or resell data from the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
• Share your account credentials with others

6. Data & Content

You retain ownership of the data you enter (boats, spots, trip reviews). By using the App, you grant us a license to process this data to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

7. Third-Party Data

The App incorporates data from third-party sources (NOAA, Open-Meteo, Copernicus Marine, etc.). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. These services may experience outages or inaccuracies beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GO/NO-GO AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT VERDICTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
