WOT Offshore ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize those providers to share.

Boat & Spot Data: Boat specifications (name, length, speed) and saved fishing spots (coordinates, names) that you voluntarily enter.

Trip Data: Trip parameters you submit for calculations (coordinates, departure/return times, target species) and the resulting verdict scores.

Trip Reviews: Optional post-trip reviews including ratings, catch logs, and notes you choose to provide.

Location Data: With your permission, we access your device location to suggest nearby launch points. Location is never tracked in the background.

Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To calculate trip verdicts using weather, marine, and solunar data APIs
• To train your optional personal scoring model (using only your own trip review data)
• To manage your subscription and account
• To improve the App's scoring algorithms in aggregate (no individual data is shared)

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide the App:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and serverless functions
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Open-Meteo — Weather and marine forecast data
• Copernicus Marine Service — Ocean biogeochemistry data
• Solunar.org — Solunar activity data

These services receive only the data necessary to perform their function (e.g., coordinates for weather lookups). We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure with row-level security policies. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (boats, spots, trip history, personal models) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the App
• Export: Contact us to request a full export of your data
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all data from the Settings screen
• Correction: You can edit your boats, spots, and profile at any time

7. Children's Privacy

WOT Offshore is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
